Erik Rudels
ISKGA Advanced Guide / National Trainer
Erik grew up in the southern archipelago of Finland spending much of his free time around different boats and on the water. His first contact to paddling came as he age eleven inherited an old East German klepper. In 1996 he took his first kayaking instructor course and 1999 he finished his two year education to become a wilderness guide. Since then Erik has worked full time in the outdoor industry. He has always been happiest teaching and most of he’s work has evolved around leadership and guide training. Erik works with a number of outdoor disciplines but the ones involving water especially sea kayaking has stayed closest to his heart. Since 2005 Erik has been an educator at Outdoor Academy a two year full time program to become an outdoor professional. Erik is also co owner of The Paddel Shack on the Åland Islands.
”Ty så är det med livet och målet, att det börjar liksom mitt på havet, och slutar liksom mitt på havet, och målet är liksom mitt på havet.” -Harry Martinsson
