ISKGA Coastal Guide
Ian is the owner and director of Vertical Blue Adventures.
Sea kayaking, paddleboarding and coasteering are just a few of the activities on offer from their base in the UK’s most southerly harbour and fishing village of Porthleven in South West Cornwall.
Ian has been involved in sea going activities from an early age, kayaking and sailing in his hometown of Portsmouth since the age of 11.
A British Canoe Union Coach, ISKGA Coastal Guide, British Cycling Mountain Bike Leader, Mountain Leader and British Stand up Paddleboard Instructor as well as being an avid kite surfer, surfer and diver, Ian’s life revolves around the ocean.
Expeditions play a large part in not only sea kayaking but also any form of adventure activity at Vertical Blue. With over 12 years of experience working in the Antarctic to draw from which culminated in a winter expedition with Sir Ranulph Fiennes, we can cater for all kinds of trips and requests for exploration and adventure on the water in sunny Kernow and beyond!
