Estimated in 1993 by our founder “Oppi”, who then just had returned from a two-year South America trip, we are proud to be the oldest paddlesports shop and centre in Switzerland. Starting by selling a few canoes and river trips from out of an old, smelly garage (and a prognosis of a maximum of five years before going bankrupt), over the years we kept adding new boats and gear, courses and trips and this way always remained the leading Swiss centre for everything paddling-related. With 200 boats permanently on stock, in our shop you find the widest range of canoes, sea- and whitewater kayaks, folding boats and inflatables as well as the biggest choice of paddles and gear in Switzerland. On our website you can book courses in all disciplines on all levels, as well as paddling-trips and expeditions all over Europe plus Patagonia and Mongolia. We are an authorized ISKGA expedition centre, are certified by ISO 9001 and hold the highly regarded Swiss “Quality in Adventure” label. And yet we have remained true to ourselves and our passion and are still the same old chaotic bunch of paddlers that simply do what they live, instead of chasing behind the big money. This is the “Siesta” factor in our name!

Although being a relatively new thing in land-locked Switzerland, Sea kayaking for us plays a very big role. Being extremely passionate about it ourselves, we pushed forward the field so much that in just five years we have become the first Swiss ISKGA centre with now ten multi-day trips in our 2019-programme.
